Driving directions

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Take PA Turnpike to (Old Exit 24) New Exit 326 (Philadelphia/Valley Forge). Follow I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway) for 18 miles to (Old Exit 38) New Exit 344 (Central Philadelphia/East 676). Note: this is a LEFT lane exit. Proceed on I-676 one-half mile to the Central Philadelphia/Broad Street exit. Turn left on Broad Street (611 North), proceed approximately two miles to Montgomery Avenue.  Turn right at Broad and Montgomery and continue straight one block until you reach 13th & Montgomery.  Continue half a block and you will see the parking lot (Lot 2) on your left.

From Points South of Philadelphia via I-95
Take I-95 North to (Old Exit 17) New Exit 22 (Central Philadelphia/I-676). Note: this is a LEFT lane exit. Follow 676 West to Broad Street Exit. Exit to the left lane and turn left on Vine Street. Stay in the left lane for one block to Broad Street and turn left. Proceed approximately two miles to Montgomery Avenue.  Turn right at Broad and Montgomery and continue straight one block until you reach 13 th & Montgomery.  Continue half a block and you will see the parking lot (Lot 2) on your left.

From Points North of Philadelphia via I-95
Take I-95 South to the Girard Avenue Exit. Follow Girard Avenue for 2.3 miles to Broad Street. Turn right and proceed approximately two miles to Montgomery Avenue.  Turn right at Broad and Montgomery and continue straight one block until you reach 13 th & Montgomery.  Continue half a block and you will see the parking lot (Lot 2) on your left.

From the New Jersey Turnpike via Benjamin Franklin Bridge
Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 4; then follow Route 73 North one mile to Route 38 West. Follow Route 38 approximately six miles to cross Benjamin Franklin Bridge. From the bridge follow signs to Vine Street Local Traffic and proceed one mile to Broad Street. Turn right onto Broad Street and proceed approximately two miles to Montgomery Avenue.  Turn right at Broad and Montgomery and continue straight one block until you reach 13 th & Montgomery.  Continue half a block and you will see the parking lot (Lot 2) on your left.

From the New Jersey Turnpike via I-95
Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 6 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) Cross the turnpike bridge, staying in the right hand lane and exit immediately past the toll booth on the Pennsylvania side (Exit 29). Follow Route 13 South for two miles to Route 413 North. Turn right and proceed one mile to I-95. Turn left and follow I-95 South for 16 miles to the Girard Avenue Exit. Follow Girard Avenue for 2.3 miles to Broad Street. Turn right and proceed approximately two miles to Montgomery Avenue.  Turn right at Broad and Montgomery and continue straight one block until you reach 13 th & Montgomery.  Continue half a block and you will see the parking lot (Lot 2) on your left.

From Northeast Extension Pennsylvania Turnpike
Take Exit 25A to I-476 (Blue Route) South approximately 5 miles to I-76 East. Follow I-76 East for approximately 18 miles to (Old Exit 38) New Exit 344(Central Philadelphia/East 676). Note: this is a LEFT lane exit. Proceed one-half mile to the Broad Street Exit. Turn left on Broad Street (611 North), proceed approximately two miles to Montgomery Avenue.  Turn right at Broad and Montgomery and continue straight one block until you reach 13 th & Montgomery.  Continue half a block and you will see the parking lot (Lot 2) on your left.

Parking

Parking is available in Lot 2, located on Montgomery between 12th & 13th. This is (Area 2) on the main campus map behind the Tuttleman Learning Center (#59 on main campus map).   If Lot 2 is full, parking is also available in Lot 9 on Cecil B. Moore between 12th & 13th.   This is (Area 9) behind Weiss Hall (#64 on main campus map).  You will be able to turn onto Montgomery Avenue from Broad Street.  Please be prepared to pay for parking upfront, they accept cash only ($12.00) 

Walking directions from guest parking lots 2 or 9

  • If you parked in Lot 2, exit the lot and turn right, so you are walking towards 13th on Montgomery.  Alter Hall is at the corner of 13th and Montgomery.  Walk another half a block on Montgomery Ave and the entrance will be on your right.
  • If you parked in Lot 9, exit the lot and turn right, so you are walking towards 13th on Cecil B. Moore.  At the corner of 13th & Cecil B. Moore turn right and walk down 13th.  Alter Hall is at the corner of 13th and Montgomery.
  • We are in Speakman Hall which is physically connected to Alter Hall. Walk or take the elevator up to the second floor of Alter Hall and walk directly north to cross into Speakman Hall.
