
Chris Kearns is a Director for Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Enterprise Business Services and manages the corporation wide desktop and collaboration technology portfolios. He was one of the key strategic architects for the development and eventual corporate wide deployment of Lockheed Martin’s “Unity” social media platform. This platform now hosts 21,000 team and personal spaces enterprise wide and spawned a investment in a open source conversation platform, Eureka Streams, published by Lockheed Martin.
As the Program Director for Enterprise Business Services – Desktop Services, Mr. Kearns is responsible for the strategy and management of all activities related to Information Technology for the desktop portfolio including the service desk, desktop technologies and services, and the development, operations and maintenance of corporate wide collaboration solutions. Mr. Kearns provides leadership to the work of 700+ employees working on $100M+ of annual enterprise IT spending.
Previously, Mr. Kearns was the Operations Director for the Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE) in Bethesda, MD. In this role he was responsible for the operations, optimization and strategic development of the center’s activities. Mr. Kearns has also held management roles in IS&GS-Defense on the capture teams for USAF IT programs as well as program management roles in the IS&GS CIO organization.
Mr. Kearns has worked with Lockheed Martin since 1998. He holds a master’s degree in Information Science from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Scranton.
Mr. Kearns is on the Industrial Advisory Board for the University of Scranton Engineering Department, is an IEEE member, and a COPE Director for the Boy Scouts of America.
