His research focuses on AI, especially machine learning for personalization and recommender systems. He is Academic Director of the MS in Artificial Intelligence Management program at Fox and leads several AI initiatives across Temple. Duckworth Scholars Studio, where he leads project development, class visits, consultations, and workshops on computational approaches to cultural analytics and digital scholarship. He holds a Ph.D. in English, with a concentration in critical theory, digital humanities, and comparative literature, from the Graduate Center, CUNY. His research spans AI governance, platform studies, defense technology, surveillance, knowledge graphs, and the political economy of emerging digital technologies. His research uses wearable sensors and smartphone-based technologies to study health and physical activity patterns among people with disabilities.
