Joe Lucia has served as Dean of Temple University Libraries since 2013. He led the libraries through the planning and opening of Charles Library in 2019, which now serves as a hub for research, collaboration, and digital scholarship on campus. Before Temple, he was University Librarian and Director of Falvey Memorial Library at Villanova University, and earlier directed library technology and access services at Lehigh University. His team works with faculty and industry partners on patents, licensing, and new startups, bringing Temple innovations such as drugs, medical devices, diagnostics, and software to market.
