The Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) at Temple University has been offering no cost digital transformation services<\/a> to small businesses and non-profits since the start of the pandemic. In this post, we focus on the experience of transforming businesses in the wellness industry.<\/p>\n

NYVA Healthcare Services<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kyra Lloyd<\/a> and Joe Pacitti<\/a> were able to rapidly transform NYVA Healthcare Services<\/a> \u2014 they updated the website, added online job applications for new employees, added COVID-19 guidelines to the website, and configured social media.<\/p>\n

One of the owners NYVA Healthcare Services, Nadia, was very grateful – \u201cFor the amount of work the team performed in just a short amount of time, we are very impressed! They were very professional,\u201d she says.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Impressive Healing Massage and Bodywork<\/strong><\/p>\n

Massage therapist and owner of Impressive Healing<\/a>, Mamapolo Mokeyane, needed a website update that would allow her clients to book services online, and inform them of COVID-19 precautions and protocols. Aparna Rao<\/a> and Kyra Lloyd<\/a> quickly improved the website.<\/p>\n

According to Mokeyane \u201cYou collaborated with me in bringing my vision to life. Your commitment to the project was amazing.” Lloyd agrees saying, \u201cI learned a lot about leading projects, working with clients, and collaborating with my team.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As One Wellness<\/strong><\/p>\n

Linda Hobbs, owner of As One Wellness, helps clients improve their wellbeing and relationships through psychotherapy, yoga, meditation, and more. However, during the beginning of the pandemic she needed help improving her business\u2019s online presence.<\/p>\n

Kunal Duggal<\/a> and Nicole Kish<\/a> created a new website for As One, made templates for social media posts, and adjusted search engine optimization (SEO) options.<\/p>\n

Hobbs was pleased with the outcome. \u201cYou connected well with me,\u201d she says. \u201cYou sought to understand my business and you kept the project moving forward as scheduled. You showed professionalism and skill.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Holistic Qigong Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Given customer concerns, Kenneth Kramer\u2019s business, Holistic Qigong Foundation<\/a>, needed an updated website with a section for information about COVID-19 protocols and a cosmetic upgrade. Carly Civello<\/a> and Kyra Lloyd<\/a> worked with Kramer to create a new website, a consultation pop-up, a COVID-19 update page, and an updated logo.<\/p>\n

Kramer was happy with the new changes and excited to interact with more clients digitally. \u201cYou were very dedicated and responsive. I’m so happy with your help,\u201d he says. The students learned a lot through the process. \u201cI am very proud of the work I accomplished on this site: it was a big undertaking to change the whole look and feel of a website,\u201d Lloyd says. \u201cI hope all of the changes we made help Ken\u2019s business long-term,\u201d Civello says.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
