Hacking Healthcare – Improving Healthcare Through Big Data
Improving healthcare is a big data problem. The volume and kinds of data that are created over the course of a patient’s journey through the healthcare system are so large and disconnected that it is often difficult to identify underlying meaning. A rallying cry of the big data movement is “data is the platform”. In this presentation we will discuss what this could mean for healthcare and how we might innovate on that data platform. We will also explore some of the data sources and technologies that are disrupting traditional methods of storing, accessing, and analyzing healthcare data.
