Konstantin Bauman (Chair)

Konstantin Bauman is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems at the Fox School of Business, Temple University. His research focuses on AI, especially machine learning for personalization and recommender systems. He is Academic Director of the MS in Artificial Intelligence Management program at Fox and leads several AI initiatives across Temple. He co-organizes the DS-AI@Temple Network, runs a monthly AI/ML workshop, and serves as an AI Fellow at IBIT.
Alex Wermer-Colan
Academic & Research Director, Duckworth Scholars Studio (Temple Libraries)
Alex Wermer-Colan is the Academic and Research Director of Temple University Libraries’ Loretta C. Duckworth Scholars Studio, where he leads project development, class visits, consultations, and workshops on computational approaches to cultural analytics and digital scholarship. He holds a Ph.D. in English, with a concentration in critical theory, digital humanities, and comparative literature, from the Graduate Center, CUNY. Alex also serves as Managing Editor of the Programming Historian and Executive Director of Philly Community Wireless.
Andrew Iliadis
Associate Professor, Klein College of Media and Communication; DS-AI@Temple
Andrew Iliadis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Media Studies and Production at Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication. His research spans AI governance, platform studies, defense technology, surveillance, knowledge graphs, and the political economy of emerging digital technologies. He serves on the steering committee of Temple’s Data Sciences and Artificial Intelligence Network and holds editorial roles at several journals, including as Executive Editor of Digital Society.
Shiv Hiremath
Associate Professor & Director, PHIRE Lab, College of Public Health; DS-AI@Temple
Shivayogi (Shiv) Hiremath is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Temple’s College of Public Health, and director of the Personal Health Informatics and Rehabilitation Engineering (PHIRE) Laboratory. His research uses wearable sensors and smartphone-based technologies to study health and physical activity patterns among people with disabilities. He holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
