Fox Information Technology Award Recipients

JOSEPH C. SPAGNOLETTI

Joseph C. Spagnoletti

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LEADER AWARD

Joseph Spagnoletti was appointed Campbell’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer in August 2008. He leads the company’s global information technology function, providing IT strategy to help Campbell meet its business goals. Joe reports to Craig Owens, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.

Since he joined Campbell in 1997 as Director-IT, Food Service, Joe has held several positions of increasing responsibility in global sales and marketing, supply chain, and research and development. Most recently, he was Vice President-IT for Campbell North America, where he successfully led several key projects, including the implementation of a trade management system and oversight of North American SAP implementations.

Previously, Joe spent seven years as an Information Technology Director with medical technology company Becton Dickinson, responsible for the medical device and acute care businesses. He began his career developing and implementing financial systems for a New York City software development firm.

Joe earned his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Albright College in Reading, Pa. He serves on the Cooper Health System’s Audit/Ethics Committee, Global Management Board of GS1, New Jersey State Board for Junior Achievement and the Temple University Fox School of Business Advisory Board. In 2004, he was recognized with Campbell’s Influence with Honor leadership award.

Joe is an AAU basketball coach and his interests include vintage automobiles, motorcycles, snowboarding, hiking and camping.

J. CHRIS SCALET

J. Chris Scalet

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LEADER AWARD

J. Christopher (Chris) Scalet is executive vice president, global services, and chief information officer (CIO) at Merck & Co., Inc., responsible for the company’s information technology and global services functions, which include real estate; facilities services; Lean Six Sigma; shared business services; security; energy; travel and aviation.  He is a member of Merck’s executive committee and reports to Merck Chairman, president and chief executive officer Richard T. Clark.

Scalet was formerly with International Paper (IP), where he served as senior vice president and chief information officer, managing information technology and telecommunications strategy, planning, and operations for the world’s largest paper and forest products company.  He was a member of IP’s senior leadership team and the company’s eBusiness Steering Committee. Prior to IP, Scalet was vice president and chief information officer at MAPCO, Inc. (now The Williams Co.), a Fortune 250 diversified energy company.

Scalet is on the Board of Directors of the Netezza Corporation, and was past Honorary Conference Chair for the National Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA).  He received his bachelor’s degree in management science and computer systems from Oklahoma State University and completed the executive development program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

ANNE MULLINS

Anne Mullins

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INNOVATOR AWARD

Anne Mullins serves as the Lockheed Martin Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Vice President of Corporate Information Security. In this role, she is responsible for Lockheed Martin’s information security strategy to assess business risks and deploy mitigating solutions across the enterprise. Her team is responsible for information policy, governance, security engineering, test, operations, vulnerability management, and cyber threat detection and response.

Anne has more than 23-years of extensive management and technology experience. She previously served as Lockheed Martin’s Corporate Vice President of Global Supply Chain Management with responsibility for enterprise supply chain strategy and policy, a supplier diversity program and more than 1,000 corporate sourcing agreements valued at $6B. She has also served as the Director of Systems Engineering and Technology at Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems and Global Services business where she led a matrix organization of engineers and technologists specializing in modeling and analysis of network, ground, space, remote sensing, and communications systems as well as enterprise cost, risk, and schedule assessment. Anne also held the position of Director of Information Access in Lockheed Martin’s Enterprise Information Systems, and was responsible for the cohesive strategy and rapid deployment of the Lockheed Martin enterprise portal.

Additional roles have included Transformation Manager with Lockheed Martin’s Management and Data Systems Company, Director of Branding and User Experience at Breakaway Solutions, and various positions with then General Electric/Martin Marietta including Program Manager, New Business Capture Manager and System Analysis Manager.

Anne holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Villanova University. She is a graduate of General Electric’s Edison Engineering Program and the Lockheed Martin Program Manager Development Program. Anne, her husband Bob, and their two children, Christian and Kathleen, reside near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.

RICHARD I. COHEN

Richard I. Cohen

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AWARD FOR DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI

Rich is a Principal in Deloitte Information Management Practice for the last 8 years. He is responsible globally for the strategy, development and implementation of Information Based technologies, Specially, Data Warehousing, Decision Support, Enterprise Content Management, Portal and Data Mining engagements to support the emergence of world class Business Intelligence Applications. He has over 30 years of experience in the design, development, implementation, and support of information technology in a variety of industries, specifically in Life Sciences and Medical Devices. Prior to joining Deloitte Rich held positions as VP of IS for a Property Casualty Insurance Company and a Real Estate Developer. Rich is a graduate of the Fox School’s Bachelor of Business Administration program.

PHILIP P. JAURIGUE

Philip P. Jaurigue

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AWARD FOR DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI

Philip P. Jaurigue is founder and President of Sabre Systems, Inc., a technology, engineering, and professional services company supporting defense and civilian agencies as well as clients in the private sector. Sabre employs over 600 employees throughout the U.S. and worldwide.

Mr. Jaurigue was awarded the 2002 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Philadelphia and was inducted in the EOY Hall of Fame. In 1998 and 1999, Sabre was also listed on the Inc. Magazine Fast 500. Sabre is a multiple recipient of the Philadelphia 100 Award, including a record-setting seven consecutive years. In 2004, Mr. Jaurigue was inducted as a charter member of the Philadelphia 100 Hall of Fame. He currently serves as President of the Philadelphia 100 Alumni Association, organizing professional development programs for member firms.

Mr. Jaurigue serves as Chairman of SMART, an organization supporting science and technology initiatives in the 4-State Region (DE, MD, NJ and PA). Mr. Jaurigue is also a board member of Gilda’s Club of Delaware Valley, an organization supporting those living with cancer and their families. He is also part time co-host on the weekly WWDB radio program, “Executive Leaders Radio,” discussing entrepreneurial topics and experiences in the Philadelphia business community. He also leads a youth music ministry at his church.

Mr. Jaurigue holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and received his MBA from Temple University. He also received a post-graduate certificate from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University.
