Temple’s [DIF] students have been working with members from the Cencora, Inc.’s AI teams on a key project. The P.U.L.S.E. (Pharmaceutical Usage and Lifecycle Signal Engine) project aims to ethically mine public data sources to provide early signals of regulatory and market changes.
Accurate predictions of regulatory outcomes and public sentiment can potentially save millions of dollars in supply chain management costs.
DIF Role
Research the pharmaceutical industry and related public signals. Establish and implement a six-step pipeline that leverages NLP to extract relevant data. Develop a corresponding preliminary predictive engine and dashboard for decision making.
Future iterations of this project will improve the predictive model, enhance the dashboard (based on stakeholder feedback) and incorporate additional sources of data.
