Jignesh Patel, SVP, Cencora, appointed Executive in Residence

Temple University’s Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) has appointed Cencora executive Jignesh Patel as its Executive in Residence in 2025.

Cencora’s Senior Vice President, Patel visited Temple’s Fox School of Business Thursday, March 20, 2025. He engaged with faculty and students on several topics including AI, cybersecurity, the job market, and others. Jig is also a member of IBIT’s advisory board.

The IBIT Executive in Residence program facilitates engagement between industry leaders and the faculty and students at Temple University.

Patel is responsible for IT strategy, support, and delivery for Corporate IT and Global Pharma Services. Corporate IT is responsible for Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Marketing, and Compliance & Risk IT. He is also responsible for Global Pharma Services technology, including manufacturer services.

Prior to joining Cencora, Jignesh worked in senior leadership roles at Vanguard including heading up AI/ML Architecture, HR and Corporate Communication Technology, and Finance and HR technology. 

Sondra Barbour, Executive-in-Residence spends the day engaging with students

Sondra Barbour is Executive-in-Residence at the Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) and was at Temple all day on November 11, 2021 engaging with students.

Barbour is also the inaugural recipient of the Information Technology award for Distinguished Alumni in 2005 and helped start the Executive-in-Residence program. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for AGCO Corporation and Perspecta and was selected by Fortune magazine as one of the “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” in 2014.

Jeff Hamilton, SVP, Business Technology, Pfizer, appointed Executive In Residence

Jeff HamiltonTemple University’s Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) has appointed Pfizer executive Jeff Hamilton as its newest Executive in Residence.

Pfizer’s Senior Vice President of Business Technology, Hamilton visited Temple’s Fox School of Business Wednesday, Dec. 6. He engaged with faculty and students on topics and projects of mutual interest, including the activities of IBIT, the Fox School, and its nationally ranked Management Information Systems (MIS) department.

Said Laurel Miller, Director of Temple IBIT: “Jeff is an excellent mentor who is committed to student development. He is always looking to engage with faculty on research, as well. In other words, he was a natural choice to serve as an Executive in Residence for IBIT.”

The IBIT Executive in Residence program facilitates interaction between industry leaders and the faculty and students of Temple University’s Fox School of Business.

Hamilton, in his role with Pfizer, leads business technology in the global innovative pharmaceutical business, including contributions in the achievement of its strategic priorities through the use of digital, data, and analytics capabilities. He also is responsible for directing Pfizer’s global enterprise resource planning program, including the deployment of single-enterprise solution to integrate company’s manufacturing, commercial, and finance operations.

Prior to joining Pfizer, Hamilton served as an associate partner with Andersen Consulting, where he led large operational transformation programs for pharmaceutical and other Fortune 500 companies.

Hamilton holds a Master of Business Administration degree in information systems from the University of Buffalo, where he also attained a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.

Michael Bradshaw, EVP & CIO of NBCUniversal, appointed Executive In Residence

Portrait of Michael Bradshaw, EVP & CIO of NBCUniversalTemple University’s Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) has appointed Michael Bradshaw, NBCUniversal Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, as its newest Executive in Residence.

The IBIT Executive in Residence program facilitates interaction between industry leaders and the faculty and students of Temple University’s Fox School of Business. In his role as IBIT Executive in Residence, Bradshaw will visit the Fox School Nov. 14, and engage with faculty and students on topics and projects of mutual interest, while also promoting the activities of IBIT, the Fox School’s Management Information Systems department, and the Fox School of Business.

NBCUniversal is a member of IBIT, and Bradshaw is a member of the Fox IT Advisory Board.

“I’m honored to serve as an Executive in Residence at the Fox School,” said Bradshaw. “The challenges we address today through technology represent a blend of business strategy, planning and communication. It’s important to engage the next generation of students so they understand this complexity and recognize potential opportunities as they pursue technology careers.”

Bradshaw, in his role as Executive Vice President and CIO of NBCUniversal, leads the information technology organization and oversees NBCUniversal’s global IT operations, infrastructure, applications, and strategy.

Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Bradshaw served as Vice President and CIO for Lockheed Martin’s mission systems and training business. He managed IT services that supported business programs and functions, and led the IT integration for major acquisition, resulting in a global business unit of more than 35,000 employees. He also has served as Vice President of Lockheed Martin’s enterprise IT services, leading the team responsible for enterprise application and infrastructure services. Bradshaw previously held various leadership positions at IBM, where he led its global IT infrastructure transformation initiatives.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Operations Management.

Sondra Barbour 2015Sondra L. Barbour, Executive Vice President, Information Systems & Global Solutions, Lockheed Martin recently spent a day with students in the Fox School’s Management Information Systems program.

Barbour is Executive-in-Residence at the Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) and was at Temple all day on March 9, 2015 as part of her responsibilities. She is an officer of the Lockheed Martin Corporation. Under her leadership, IS&GS employs 26,000 professionals and generated $8.4 billion in sales in 2013.

Barbour is also the inaugural recipient of the Fox Information Technology award for Distinguished Alumni in 2005 and helped start the Executive-in-Residence program. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for 3M and was selected by Fortune magazine as one of the “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” in 2014.

During the day, she participated as a guest expert in Professor Martin Doyle’s Enterprise Architecture class, had lunch with Fox BBA in MIS students, discussed cyber-security careers and other topics with the students in the Fox School’s Master of Science in IT auditing and cyber-security, and met with the representatives of the Temple University student chapter of the Association for Information Systems. Barbour also met with Neil Theobald, President, Temple University.
