INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INNOVATOR AWARD

Ned Moore is a lifelong entrepreneur in information technology, healthcare, insurance, retail, real estate and the distribution industry. He has built high performing teams to support fast growing companies providing vision, strategy, operational skills and leadership. He also has extensive experience in raising capital to fuel companies experiencing rapid growth along with both buy side and sell side of mergers and acquisitions.

Currently Ned is the Co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Clutch, which provides an advanced Integrated Customer Management Platform for B2C businesses. Prior to Clutch, he was the Co-founder, Chairman and CEO at Portico Systems providing enterprise software solutions into the healthcare payer market experiencing tremendous growth and ultimately sold to McKesson Corporation. Over his career, he has raised over $50M in venture capital returning an average of 4x for investors and has grown companies from zero to over 250+ employees at exit. Under Ned’s leadership, Clutch was named Technology Startup of the Year in 2014 and Portico was named Emerging Technology Company of the Year in 2008 by the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technology (PACT).

Ned is active in supporting the entrepreneurial community as both an advisor and an early stage investor. He has been an angel investor in over 30 early stage technology companies and is an active real estate investor. He also serves as an Advisory Council Member to Villanova’s Center for Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship. Ned has extensive board experience and currently serves on the boards of Core Solutions, Elite MGA and the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale. He previously served on several other advisory boards and company boards including the Safeguard Scientifics Technology Advisory Board and Verilogue which was sold to Publicis Groupe.

Ned was recognized by PACT as the 2008 Technology CEO of the Year and as a finalist for the 2015 Technology CEO of the Year in the Greater Philadelphia area. He was a recipient of the 2007 Philadelphia Business Journal 40 under 40 award and named a finalist in the 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Greater Philadelphia.

ROBERT MOORE

Robert J. Moore is the co-founder and CEO of RJMetrics, a SaaS business intelligence company with the mission of inspiring and empowering data-driven people.  Prior to RJMetrics, he served on the Investment Team of Insight Venture Partners, a leading software-focused venture capital and private equity firm based in New York.  He is a graduate of Princeton University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Bob is a vocal supporter of the Philadelphia startup scene, where he has served on the leadership team of Philly Startup Leaders and mentors up-and-coming Philadelphia entrepreneurs through the PSLU accelerator program.

As a writer and speaker, Bob has been featured by The New York Times, Forbes, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, TEDxPhilly, EnterConf, Business of Software, and many more.  He guest lectures annually at Princeton University and The Wharton School.

Outside of the tech scene, Bob is an improv comedy performer at Philly Improv Theater, where he is a member of house team Big Baby.  He is also CTO and Trustee of the Glassboro Education Foundation, a nonprofit committed to supporting educational innovation in his hometown school district.

Jeff Mango - FOX IT INNOVATOR AWARD - 2014

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INNOVATOR AWARD

Jeff Mango is Vice President of Total Customer Experience in a new marketing organization at Verizon. Previously he lead the customer and business intelligence organization (CBI) that was the first of its kind. Built from the ground up, CBI was designed to align company-wide strategies and initiatives for listening and understanding the Voice of the Customer and Voice of the Employee. Mango’s team leverages social/digital media insights across Verizon’s business units in order to enhance the overall end-to-end customer experience and increase operational efficiency. Targeted business information and solutions help drive improvement in customer experience and loyalty, which increases revenue and reduces operating costs. He is based out of Verizon’s Corporate Headquarters in Basking Ridge, N.J.

Mango began his career in the wireless industry as a retail sales representative and has held a variety of leadership positions in multiple regions. Prior to his move to Verizon’s corporate offices, Mango was President of the Georgia/Alabama Region for Verizon Wireless. He is a three-time winner of the Verizon Wireless President’s Cabinet for sales achievement.

Mango holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sales and Meeting Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island

MATTHEW GILLIN

Matt Gillin - FOX IT INNOVATOR AWARD - 2014

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INNOVATOR AWARD

Matt is the CEO of Relay, where he is responsible for guiding the company’s strategy and overseeing the day-to-day operations. Matt has been an active entrepreneur and pioneer for nearly 20 years, and has been widely recognized for turning innovative ideas into successful businesses.

Most recently, Matt served as the CEO for Ecount, Inc., a company he cofounded in his parent’s basement with his friend Paul Raden. Together, they built Ecount into a recognized leader in the prepaid card industry. In 2007, they sold the company to Citi, and were successful in delivering considerable value to their investors and shareholders.

Following the sale, Matt remained as CEO of the renamed business (Citi® Prepaid Services) until 2009. In those two years, Matt and his team were responsible for establishing Citi as the world’s first truly global prepaid solution provider. Upon his departure, Citi Prepaid Services was issuing more than 40 million cards per year for over 2,000 clients, and delivering solutions in more than 40 countries across the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Matt is widely regarded as an innovator. He holds three patents in the US patent office for his inventions, and is a multiple award-winning executive. In 2002, Matt won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award®. In 2004, he was named one of the Philadelphia region’s most influential executives under the age of 40. In 2006, the Eastern Technology Council named Matt the CEO of the Year. In 2007, he was awarded the Walter M. Aikman Entrepreneur of the Year Award. And in 2013, he was named IT Innovator of Excellence at the 20th Annual Enterprise Awards. Matt holds a B.A. from Denison University.

ALEEM WALJI

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INNOVATOR AWARD

Aleem is the Director of the World Bank’s Innovation Labs. He oversees Open Government, Transparency and Accountability initiatives with particular interest in leveraging technology to increase social accountability and improve service delivery. He oversees the Development Marketplace program which provides social entrepreneurs access to growth financing with a focus on South Asia, East Africa, and the Middle East. Aleem also serves on the Global Advisory Council on the Future of Government at the World Economic Forum.

Prior to joining WBI, Aleem served as a Head of Global Development Initiatives at Google.org, with a focus on eastern Africa. He led efforts related to increasing transparency and accountability in government and supporting the growth of small and medium-size enterprises in Africa. Aleem was also the first CEO of the Aga Khan Foundation in Syria. He is a graduate of Emory University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Near Eastern Studies and Anthropology and his master’s degree in International Development and Regional Planning.
